Dr. Kip Guy is the Chairman of the Department of  Chemical Biology & Therapeutics at St Jude Children's Research Hosptial, and a Member (Professor) of the St. Jude Faculty.

Dr. Guy has extensive experience in the discovery and development of novel small molecules for treatment of protozoal parasites and their use in animal models. Additionally, he has experience in modification of a wide range of inhibitors in order to improve their adsorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion profile which will help directly in optimization of the inhibitors in this proposal. Finally, he manages a large, multidisciplinary department whose major purpose is the development of small molecules for preclinical models and directly manage this and three other projects. Thus he brings project management skills directly relevant to the efficient achievement of the goals of this proposal.
