Rhys graduated cum laude from Duke University in 2005 with a degree in international relations. For the past four years he has secured financing for power projects across the US as a Vice President at CIT, with a focus on wind and solar. In this role, Rhys has led the investment of over $700 million in credit facilities for two dozen transactions providing electricity to millions of American homes. He was previously a bond trader for LibertyView Capital Management, a credit-focused hedge fund with $2.5 billion in peak assets. When not financing renewable energy power projects, Rhys might be found camping in the Sahara, trekking across glaciers or diving through submerged caves.
